SGL to back Delta in Civil Reserve Air Fleet
Delta Cargo has chosen Scan Global Logistics (SGL) as its designated freight forwarder under the US Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) programme. Established in 1951, CRAF enables commercial airlines to supplement US military airlift capacity for global missions.
The partnership, formalised through a teaming agreement, enhances both companies’ ability to deliver critical defence and humanitarian supply chain solutions in support of the US Transportation Command. "This collaboration reflects Delta’s commitment to serving those who serve," said Peter Penseel (far right), president of Delta Cargo.
"Our decades of experience in defence and humanitarian logistics, combined with Delta’s global airlift capabilities, ensure we are ready to support missions worldwide with speed and reliability," said Mads Drejer (second from the right), global CCO and COO. SGL will combine its expertise with Delta’s global aircraft network to provide rapid and reliable airlift when government or aid organisations need it most. (ah)
