Radiant buys stake in Weport
Radiant Logistics has acquired an 80% stake in Mexico's Weport, a provider of international and domestic freight services.
Weport, founded in 2016 and headquartered in Mexico City, offers ocean and airfreight forwarding, multimodal domestic transport, customs brokerage, warehousing and value-adding services. The deal aims to strengthen Radiant’s North American platform, with the structure allowing for the purchase of the remaining 20% at a later date.
Weport will continue under the leadership of founder Ricardo Rochman, who will report to Randy Briggs, senior vice-president for international services at Radiant. The company is expected to transition to the Radiant brand in 2026. (js)
