Performance Shipping secures charter
Performance Shipping, a shipping line that specialises in tanker ownership, has signed a time charter contract with the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) for the P. Aliki. The 105,304 dwt LR2 Aframax tanker was built in 2010.
The vessel will be employed for twelve months, plus or minus 15 days, at PNSC’s option, at a daily rate of USD 30,000. The P. Aliki, which recently concluded a six-month charter with Seariver Maritime, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, is undergoing its third special survey and drydock and will be delivered to the charterer around mid-September.
"This aligns with our strategy of securing attractive employment for our vessels in a dynamic market environment, to maintain revenue visibility," said CEO Andreas Michalopoulos. (js)
