ODW Logistics, a third-party logistician based in Columbus OH (USA), is expanding its presence near Rickenbacker airport, a cargo hub just outside said city.

It is adding a new 864,000 sqft distribution centre there, with the site due to open in June 2026. The move will create 200–300 jobs and support e-commerce and food-grade retail operations.

One third of the facility will feature automated processes using AMRs, conveyors and robotic inventory towers. The project, designed by Archall Architects and built by Exxcel Project Management, is under a ten-year lease. Once completed, ODW will operate nearly 6 million sqft in Ohio.

COO Gary Meador highlighted automation’s role in efficiency while affirming the continued need for a strong workforce. The Lockbourne campus already has 1,470,000 sqft of buildings, with long-term plans including a further 500,000 sqft expansion.
