Fuel and Forests for the Future
Latam Cargo Group and Logiztik Alliance, a leader in logistics in Ecuador and Colombia, have jointly managed 574.8 t of CO₂ emissions from Logiztik’s 2024 exports from Colombia. The achievement combines the use of Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and offsets through Latam's "1+1 Offset to Conserve" programme, which supports the CO₂Bio conservation project in Colombia’s Orinoquía region.
"Combining SAF with high-impact conservation shows how cooperation can advance measurable climate action," said Cristina Oñate, VP Sustainability at Latam Cargo. The initiative covers about 15% of Logiztik’s export emissions and reflects both companies’ shared commitment to achieving net-zero air logistics by 2050. (ah)
