ECS Group expands JetSMART Cargo in South America
ECS Group has completed a successful first six months managing Jetsmart's cargo network under a four-year Total Cargo Management (TCM) contract, the first of its kind in South America.
The global GSSA oversees more than 25,000 flights annually across Jetsmart's AOCs in Chile, Colombia, Peru and Argentina. A 25-strong ECS team, backed by a Control Tower in San José, Costa Rica, now supports cargo operations in eight countries and 14 destinations, including Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Lima and Medellín.
Using digital tools such as Apollo, Quantum and CargoAi, ECS provides real-time data and booking access. The partners aim to open Jetsmart's full cargo network by end-2025, supported by 25 interline agreements to connect South America with the US, Europe and Asia. Next year, ECS Group plans to drive e-commerce growth through regional warehousing, a new express product offering, and strategic alliances. (ah)
