Capitol christmas tree rides with Kenworth
Kenworth will once again provide the truck to transport the 2025 U.S. capitol christmas tree from Nevada’s Humboldt-Toiyabe national forest to Washington D.C. The custom-designed T680 celebrates the 'spirit of the silver state', featuring artwork of a Nevada sunset over its forests. The 53-foot red fir, nicknamed 'Silver Belle', will begin its 3,000-mile journey on 1 November, with stops across the U.S. before arriving at the capitol’s west lawn on 20 November.
The T680, equipped with the 'Paccar powertrain' and driver-assist systems, includes a 76-inch sleeper. Knight-Swift will handle the haul, while Southwest airlines transports handmade ornaments crafted in Nevada. Real-time GPS tracking will be available through Kenworth’s 'TruckTech+' technology on the U.S. capitol christmas tree website. (js)
