Bridge takes over Cardiff Airport leadership today
Cardiff Airport has appointed Jon Bridge as its new CEO, effective 3 November 2025. A senior leader with three decades’ experience across retail, hospitality and transport, Bridge previously led SA Brain & Co through a major post-pandemic transformation and has advised the Welsh transport sector since March 2025. Interim CEO Andy Jones returns to his role as non-executive director.
Alongside passenger recovery, Cardiff is sharpening its cargo focus. The airport’s 24/7 operation, proximity to South Wales industry, and access to key motorway corridors support growing freight activity, with additional charters and mail flights adding capacity ahead of peak season. Bridge says he’ll work with partners to diversify revenue, develop people and deliver a smoother customer experience. (ah)
