Atlas secures B777 deals
Atlas Air, a subsidiary of Atlas Air Worldwide, has announced two long-term freighter agreements. The carrier will dedicate one of its newly delivered Boeing 777-200Fs to DSV, supporting the forwarder’s network in Asia, Europe and the USA, including the key Huntsville–Luxembourg corridor. The freighter’s extended range and fuel efficiency will enhance DSV’s capacity and sustainability targets.
Atlas also signed a partnership with Etihad Cargo, the logistics arm of Etihad Airways. Under the deal Atlas will operate a dedicated B777F connecting Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi and Madrid. The Boeing B777 freighter offers a payload of 103 t and a range of 9,200 km. (js)
