Amey fosters female leaders in infrastructure
Amey, a UK-based infrastructure and engineering services provider, has completed the fourth cohort of its "Women@Amey Leadership Development Programme", an 18-month initiative designed to strengthen female leadership in the sector. Since its launch in 2017, most participants have advanced into new roles or taken on greater responsibility, contributing to a rise in women in senior positions at the company.
The programme, which holds a Princess Royal Training Award, combines training, mentoring and project work on leadership challenges. At a July event, participants presented their outcomes to senior leaders and sponsors. Michael Burgess, chief people officer, said the scheme reflects Amey’s commitment to an inclusive culture and investment in women’s career progression. Applications for the fifth cohort will open in autumn 2025. (ah)
