AI-focused global trade compliance firm Besso has appointed Amazon’s former head of global trade services for EMEA, Michiel Kalverkamp, as chief customer officer.

The Swiss-based company said it would strengthen its core team and bring invaluable experience incompliance and cross-border operations.

At Amazon, Kalverkamp  served as the head of global trade services for EMEA, building and leading the EMEA trade compliance team that oversaw operations for both Amazon and third-party imports and exports.

In his new role at Besso, Kalverkamp will focus on enhancing customer relationships and ensuring that Besso meets the evolving needs of businesses navigating complex trade regulations.
